A Manhattan gallery owner says famed photographer Annie Leibovitz failed to do her portraits in 12 years "because something always comes up."
Mary Boone, owner of the Mary Boone Gallery, says she paid the photographer in 1990 for the portraits and now she wants her $197,000 plus interest returned, according to court papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
"You'll have a hard time convincing anybody that Leibovitz didn't have enough time to squeeze this in at any point over the last 12 years," Boone's lawyer, Ted Poretz, tells the New York Post.
